Hotel Indigo Manchester
“Our neighbourhood’s courageous spirit, togetherness and integrity for our people is infectious. This is an area that doesn’t wait to be shown the way, but instead leads in thinking and innovation. We like to think differently, not blend in… but stand up for our individuality and ingenuity. In the streets that make up our neighbourhood you will find the evidence of our tough industrial past, the industrial foundations which were the catalyst for our neighbourhood leading the way in everything we do.”
Located in the heart of the city, Hotel Indigo is within perfect walking distance of the MEN and Victoria station. With surrounding shops such as Selfridges and Harvey Nichols it is hard to resist the luxury of this location. This boutique style hotel certainly does not disappoint. The hotel has a theme surrounding the history of Manchester. The themes relate to the topics of: Cotton, Texture, Tea and Print, all shown in their guest rooms. This provides a real personality to the hotel, unlike your standard and slightly boring hotel room style, the Indigo is filled with unique and personal touches giving every room its own style. As well as adding these features to this beautiful building, designers have also taken inspiration from the building's original style. As you can see in the image to the side, the hotel has a centre feature with hanging baskets and lights draping over the beautiful windows. It was decided that this feature was not to be boarded up but instead enhanced and can be seen on your walk from the reception area towards your room.
With 187 rooms the hotel provides a beautiful but casual style restaurant headed by Mancunian chef Andrew Green. Inspired again by his Northern roots, Andrew has taken on a luxury style with a casual twist, making it family friendly as well as being the perfect spot for all guests! After visiting this hotel only a few days before its grand opening, we could definitely sense the excitement and passion for this new project. Living a short train ride away from Manchester and being based in a town with a huge history of textile, it is amazing to be able to see the textile inheritage in the hotel. The Venue-Choice team of proud to feel part of the Manchester community, one that is passionate about their past. The city is filled with strong amazing people while the city proceeds to grow. This is an exciting new venture for the Hotel Indigo and one that we are very excited about!
