Accor Hotels Global Meeting Exchange 2018 in Montreal
Venue Choice attended the AccorHotels Global Meeting Exchange 2018 in Montreal this month, so we thought we’d give you a run down on what went on during our trip! We had an amazing time at the four day event, located at the fabulously re-modeled Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth hotel. We learned a lot of insightful information that will help with our business this year and found the program to be both inspirational and very educational.
Montreal is famous for its celebration of business and the arts, and has a calendar of over 90 different festivals of this sort every single year, so we were thrilled to be a part of one so spectacular! This vibrant city is a wonderful place to meet and network, and host events such as the AccorHotels Global Meeting Exchange 2018.Delegates from all around the world came together at Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth, from 27 February – 3 March 2018 and we were so pleased to be among the attendees this year!
So much was packed into the four-day schedule. We were able to explore the latest trends and technology and see first-hand how much of a difference this can make to a business event. As industry experts, we pride ourselves in making sure we attend events such as this regularly, to really get an insight on the new products and extras that are being offered across the world. We also learnt about what’s new in the world of Meetings, Incentives and Events and attended a number of educational seminars in the program. There were also a number of interesting networking sessions where we met some of the representatives from AccorHotels’ award-winning portfolio of hotel brands.
Montreal is a spectacular city, that’s easy to get to and easy to get around once you’re there. This multi-cultural, multi-lingual, friendly urban oasis is historically and culturally rich, and is definitely worth a visit if you’re considering Canada for a business trip. It is easily accessible from 87 international and 26 US direct destinations and the city's easy visa process and simplified customs makes Montréal a very welcoming city in which to do business.The city is lively and has green initiatives making it safe, compact and effortlessly walkable. It boasts many festivals in the annual calendar, providing a hub for shared creativity and display of the arts. Not only is there an extravagant shopping district and numerous restaurants, there are also many museums that push the boundaries of contemporary interior design.
